December 22, 2025Lincoln’s Christmas Station B107.3 teamed up once again with Edward Jones and Robidoux, Inc. to support the Nebraska Foster and Adoptive Parents Association (NFAPA) in 2025.
Foster families choose to open their hearts and homes to care for Nebraska’s most vulnerable children. To help ease the stress during the holiday season, B107.3 and Robidoux, Inc. collected donations of toys and gifts from listeners. B107.3 staff also went on a shopping spree, which you can see here.
Thanks to our sponsors and listeners, we were able to donate more than $6,000 in toys and gifts.

December 17, 2025Froggy 98 teamed up with John Henry’s Plumbing, Heating, Air, & Electrical yet again to help those in need this holiday season with the Froggy Food Exchange!
Thanks to listener donations, as well as a $2,000 match from John Henry’s, Froggy 98 was able to provide nearly 6,000 meals to the Food Bank of Lincoln.
Froggy staff also went on-site to several amazing local grocery stores who partnered with us to collect donations. Super Saver, Russ’s Market, Hy-Vee, Open Harvest Co-op Grocery, and Leon’s Gourmet Grocer all participated.
And because she donated to the Froggy Food Exchange, one lucky listener – Keisha M – won tickets to see Zach Bryan at Memorial Stadium plus an overnight stay at the brand new Drury Plaza Hotel in downtown Lincoln.
In fiscal year 2025, the Lincoln Food Bank connected neighbors in southeast Nebraska to 9.8 million meals. December 4, 2025The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced KFGE-Froggy 98 as a finalist for an NAB Crystal Radio Award on Wednesday. Presented annually, the award recognizes radio stations for their community service efforts.
A panel of judges selected 50 finalists, and from there, will select 10 winners during the NAB State Leadership Conference on March 3rd in Washington D.C.
The National Association of Broadcasters is the premier advocacy association for America’s broadcasters. NAB advances radio and television interests in legislative, regulatory and public affairs. August 14, 2025The Nebraska Broadcasters Association hosted the Pinnacle Awards on Wednesday, August 13 at Embassy Suites in La Vista, and the Broadcast House Media team took home some hardware.
For their election night coverage, KLIN received a Gold Award, and B107.3 won two Bronze Awards: one for Best Promotional Announcement (Memory Match Game) and Best Commercial (ICON Plumbing).
The Pinnacle Awards program was established in 1958 to recognize and encourage excellence in broadcasting and service to the community by Nebraska radio and television stations. [...]

August 8, 2025The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced KFGE-Froggy 98 as a finalist for an NAB Marconi Radio Award in the category of Small Market Station of the Year on Thursday.
Winners will be announced on October 21st at The Edison Ballroom in New York City during a dinner hosted by “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” co-hosts Danielle Monaro and Medha Gandhi.
UPDATE: Broadcast House General Manager Ami Graham and Froggy 98 Program Director Cory Edmondson flew to New York to honor excellence and performance in radio during a lively ceremony that unfortunately, did not see Froggy 98 take home the award for Small Market Station of the Year. The two did have a great time exploring the city however, and Cory got to wear a suit provided by Shannon Formal Wear.
Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio. [...]

July 21, 2025Broadcast House stations teamed up with the Lincoln Saltdogs on Friday, July 18 to transform the team into the Waltdogs for one magical evening.
The themed night, sponsored by Liberty First Credit Union, plus a chance to win a custom family flyaway valued at over $10,000, resulted in a fairytale franchise single-game attendance record of 8,325.
On the field, the Waltdogs saw to their own magical storybook ending with a walkoff win in extra innings. After the game, specially designed player-worn Waltdogs jerseys were auctioned off for charity to the tune of nearly $3,500.
“What a great night for Lincoln families to enjoy the magical environment at Haymarket Park with the Lincoln Waltdogs,” said Charlie Meyer, President of the Lincoln Saltdogs. “The partnership with NRG Media radio stations always creates a fun environment for many new fans to be a part of a baseball game that produced another record crowd at Haymarket Park. Now all I can say is, what’s next?”
The previous attendance record was set in 2023 when Broadcast House stations teamed up with the Saltdogs for their “Swiftdogs” theme night, where tickets were given away to see Taylor Swift in concert.

June 16, 2025KLIN‘s Jack Mitchell has made a habit out of issuing his “60-Degree Guarantee” over the past decade. The only problem? Jack’s not much of a weatherman.
His decree on April 21st that Lincoln would not see another day with a high below 60 degrees for the rest of the spring and summer failed. Again. And so on Friday, June 13, Jack made the 25-mile “Walk of Shame” around Lincoln.
In addition to his punishment, Jack decided to use the walk to help raise awareness and funds for the Mourning Hope Grief Center. Mourning Hope provides grief support groups, counseling, community education, resources and referrals for people experiencing the death of a loved one.
Several listeners, friends, and family joined Jack on his walk, which raised more than $28,000 for Mourning Hope. Take a look at Jack’s “Walk of Shame” below. [...]

May 23, 2025Broadcast House stations Froggy 98, B107.3, and Red 94.5 combined to host Rowdy in the Railyard on Thursday evening. Listeners were invited to The Railyard in Lincoln for a chance to win a flyaway to see Jelly Roll and Post Malone at Oracle Park in San Francisco.
At the end of the night, Noah T. won the grand prize (which also included $1,500 spending cash). There were several other prizes given out throughout the evening to shows like Jason Aldean, Tate McRae, Wiz Khalifa, and more.
LincOne Federal Credit Union, the Lancaster County Super Fair, and the Lincoln Stars joined in on the fun, while Tank’s Country, The CORNer Bar, and Gate 25 hosted the event. [...]

April 14, 2025The Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association (MBJA) awarded KLIN with six Sevareid Awards during the Midwest Journalism Conference this past weekend in Minneapolis.
KLIN won two first place awards in the medium market radio category (Morning Newscast, Evening Newscast) and four awards of merit for Sportscast/Program (KLIN Sportscast), Sports Reporting (Husker Hour: Nebraska Volleyball), Soft Feature (Grow Lincoln: Colby Coash), and Podcast (Tom’s Talk: Lincoln Bike Kitchen).
The Sevareid Awards are named for Eric Sevareid, a North Dakota-born and University of Minnesota-educated journalist best known for his work as a correspondent for CBS Radio and Television. March 11, 2025The Academy of Country Music announced KFGE-Froggy 98 as a Radio Station of the Year – Small Market nominee for the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards on Monday.
This year’s ACM Awards show is Thursday, May 8th at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas and will stream live on Prime Video.
UPDATE: Froggy’s Cory Edmondson made the trip to Texas, but unfortunately, Froggy did not win the award for small market station of the year.

To date, Froggy 98 has collected over $1.81 million in donations for St. Jude.

January 6, 2025NRG Media Lincoln’s Cory Edmondson (mid-days, KFGE) has been elevated to Program Director, upgrading from his roles as Assistant Program Director and Music Director. Edmondson succeeds Steve King, who will be focusing his attention on Operation Manager duties for NRG Media in both Lincoln and Omaha markets.
“I don’t think there is anyone more deserving than Cory to lead the charge for Froggy,” commented Steve King, Operations Manager and former KFGE Program Director. “Now all he has to do is get rid of all his Deadhead stuff and stop attempting to look like Blake Shelton.”
Edmondson joined NRG Media in September 2022, with previous stops in KKNU (Eugene), KKWF (Seattle), KKOA (Hilo), and others. He will maintain his mid-day shift, in addition to Music Director and Farm Director duties. [...]

September 30, 2024The Nebraska Broadcasters Association, in partnership with the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, announced the first mentor and mentee for a new MIW Mentorship Program.
For the first year of the program, Maria Hansen, Promotions Director for Broadcast House, will be mentored by Jessie Johnson, General Manager of Flood Communications’ KKPR and KXPN in Kearney.
“I’m thrilled to be selected as the inaugural mentee,” remarked Hansen. “I’m so looking forward to this exciting opportunity to learn from my mentor and many other accomplished women in radio, and help kickstart what is sure to be a successful program for many years to come. What an honor!”
The MIW Mentorship Program offers a cost-free opportunity for one NBA member mentee to be matched with a mentor from a different NBA company, so that the mentor can assist the mentee in realizing their goal of rising through the tanks to become a senior radio manager. [...]

August 8, 2024The stations of NRG Media-Lincoln at Broadcast House will have to clear some wall space at the studios.
Froggy 98 & sister station KLIN combined to win six awards from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Pinnacle Awards Wednesday, with NRG Media-Lincoln adding one more to round out the total of seven awards.
Froggy 98 was bestowed the top award of the night: Radio Station of the Year. Additionally, Froggy took home Silver in Station-Originated Community Service for Christmas Charity Chase, and Bronze in Best Recorded Promotional Announcement for Swiftdogs.
KLIN won three awards on the night, all Gold. The awards were for Best Newscast (KLIN News with Mark Vail), Best Continuing Coverage of a News Story (University Place Road Project by Chase Porter), and Service to Business, Industry, Government or Education (Munch Madness).

July 22, 2024NRG Media is proud to share radio personality Brooke Summers (mornings KBBK-FM/afternoons KFGE-FM) has been named host of CBS’ Country Labor Day Radio Special, airing live over Labor Day weekend.
Summers has been making a big splash in the country radio industry since joining NRG Media Lincoln / Broadcast House Media in 2021. In addition to this upcoming endeavor with CBS Radio, Summers has been featured as a two-time voiceover announcer for the Academy of Country Music Awards, nominated as Country Aircheck Awards’ New Face of Country Music and attended CRS as a Rusty Walker Scholarship recipient and spoke on a Women’s Mentoring Breakfast panel.
“I’m thrilled to be part of CBS’ expanded music programming special!” remarks Summers. “Labor Day & barbecues would not be complete without country music.”

December 15, 2023Froggy 98 (KFGE-FM) collected $41,217 in items and monetary donations for local charities in the station’s 2nd annual Christmas Charity Chase. This record-breaking grand total for the station’s Christmas charitable promotion more than tripled the previous year’s donations.
Five local charities were selected, then each charity had the opportunity to hand pick the on-air staff who would represent them in the competition. The “Charity Chase” was sponsored by John Henry’s Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electrical, who once again donated an extra $1,500 to be split as a bonus for each team’s charity in the order they placed.

November 17, 2023B107.3 launched into the holiday season with a bang! B107.3 partnered with holiday favorite musical group Trans-Siberian Orchestra to present a concert at Lincoln’s Pinnacle Bank Arena on Thursday, November 16th. While at the concert, B107.3 staff “flipped the Santa Switch” to 24/7 Christmas music live from the stage, with “Christmas Eve / Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra heard as the first Christmas song played on air for the 2023 season.
Additionally, B107.3 selected local non-profit Tabitha Foundation to participate in a ticket revenue share for the event, with $1 from every ticket purchased generously donated to their local Meals on Wheels program. Tabitha Foundation Development Director JP Lauterbach joined B107.3 on stage prior to the concert for the grand donation reveal of $5,759, which will directly assist elderly and disabled individuals in the Lincoln community.

September 14, 2023On Tuesday, September 12th, Broadcast House Media hosted its last of three installments of our digital educational sessions. In Digital 103, we covered all aspects of streaming television, including OTT (Over-The-Top) and CTV (Connected Television), as well as YouTube TrueView. The goal with these sessions is to educate clients on the power of digital media and how radio and digital work together. Director of Sales, Jill Masek, presented to the group of 30, while Tim Tergeoglou fielded questions from attendees. Guests enjoyed a complimentary lunch from Broadcast House’s host, the Venue.

In this second installment, Broadcast House Director of Sales Jill Masek covered Search Engine Marketing, Email Marketing and Social Media Marketing. The presentation included how these digital tactics work and how the campaigns are built, as well as plenty of real-life examples of past and current campaigns. August 14, 2023Broadcast House Sales Director Jill Masek completed training in the Rising Through The Ranks program this month in Nashville. For two days – August 9-10 – women in radio management or those aspiring to move into a management position worked to enhance their overall knowledge and skills.
Through sessions focusing on things like “Managing Up, Down & All Around” and “Networking vs Not Working”, participants were treated to practical and real-world skills that they can use right away.
“The RAB team team and I look forward to bringing these motivated individuals together for Rising Through The Ranks every year,” RAB president and CEO Erica Farber said, “This year’s group was exposed to new strategies, tactics and experiences for them to put to use immediately and to help them plan for their continued growth and involvement in the radio industry.”
The group also heard from several featured speakers, including Kristen Cantrell of Seven Mountains Media and CapCity Communications, Kelli Frieler of Leighton Broadcasting, Jessica Frost of BMI, and award-winning artist Trisha Yearwood.

August 10, 2023At the annual Pinnacle Awards Banquet on Wednesday, August 9, in La Vista, Broadcast House won six Nebraska Broadcasters Association Awards.
KLIN earned a Gold Award for Best Sportscast with the submission “KLIN Sports with Kaleb Henry.”
Froggy won two Silver Awards – one for Best Local Radio Show with “Gary and Johanna” and one for Best Station Originated Community Service Project with “Froggy’s Charity Chase.” Froggy also earned a Bronze Award for Service to Children with “Froggy’s St. Jude Radiothon.”
And B107.3 won a Silver Award for Best Online-Only Video with the submission “Gifts of Love 2022” and a Bronze Award for Best Local Radio Show with “Brooke & Bic.”

July 5, 2023Baseball + Taylor Swift? It’s a love story, and Nebraska fans just said yes.
On Friday, June 30th NRG Media Lincoln / Broadcast House Media stations B107.3 (KBBK-FM, AC), Froggy 98 (KFGE-FM, Country), and RED 94.5 (KBBK-HD2, TOP 40) teamed up with the American Association of Professional Baseball team Lincoln Saltdogs to transform the team into the Swiftdogs for one “enchanted” evening. During the entirely Taylor Swift-themed night at Haymarket Park, the Swiftdogs took on the Sioux City Explorers, who appropriately became the X’s (ex-boyfriends).
The theme, plus a chance to win one of two pairs of tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, resulted in a “fairytale” franchise record for single-game attendance of 8,298, held since the ‘Dogs inaugural season in 2001. This was also the first time that more than 8,000 attended a regular season game at Haymarket Park.
“Beyond our ‘wildest dreams,’ we definitely hit it out of the park with this Swiftdogs night,” remarked Maria Hansen, NRG Media Lincoln Promotions Director. “Very rarely do three of our stations get the chance to rally around one specific artist with this level of excitement. Then once you add in local businesses, charity, and a sports team with a passionate fan base of their own, this truly turned into a grand slam event for our community.”
On the field, the Swiftdogs came to “play, play, play” and won 6-1. Post-game, the specially designed player-worn Swiftdogs jerseys were auctioned off for charity and set another franchise record, with $4,480 being spent.
“What a great night for Lincoln families to enjoy the magical environment at Haymarket Park with the Lincoln Swiftdogs,” commented Charlie Meyer, President of the Lincoln Saltdogs. “The partnership with NRG Media radio stations created a fun and different environment for many new fans to be a part of a baseball game that produced a record crowd for a regular season game at Haymarket Park.”

Nearly one thousand listeners partied like it was “1989” at The Railyard in downtown Lincoln. Throughout the “fairytale” of an evening, listeners won tickets to multiple concerts including Taylor Swift’s upcoming sold-out show in Kansas City on Saturday, July 8th.

June 16, 2023NRG – Lincoln – The Radio Advertising Bureau, BMI, and Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) host an annual, professional development course geared towards educating current and emerging female radio managers in broadcast radio called Rising Through the Ranks. Each year they accept applications for scholarships to cover the cost the course. Twenty scholarships were offered by BMI this week and NRG Lincoln’s Director of Sales, Jill Masek, was announced as one of their recipients! This year’s program will occur August 8-10 in Nashville.

April 21, 2023Froggy 98 (KFGE-FM, Lincoln) afternoon host Brooke Summers will once again be the official voice over announcer at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards, streaming live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on Thursday, May 11. The two-hour show, hosted by global superstars Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, will livestream exclusively on Prime Video.
Summers has been making a big splash in the country radio industry in just a short amount of time. In addition to her repeat ACM Awards accomplishment, she was also nominated as Country Aircheck Awards’ New Face of Country Music and attended CRS ’23 as a Rusty Walker Scholarship recipient and spoke on a Women’s Mentoring Breakfast panel.
Brooke Summers joined NRG Media/Broadcast House Media in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2021. In addition to hosting afternoons on KFGE, Brooke wakes up the Lincoln market on sister station B107.3 (KBBK-FM/HD1) as co-host of Brooke & Bic Mornings.

February 3, 2023NRG Media Lincoln/Broadcast House Media’s Froggy 98 (KFGE-FM) along with title sponsor Tracy’s Collision Center raised a record-breaking $102,878 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during their 21st annual “Country Cares for St. Jude Kids” radiothon, held February 1-2. January 27, 2023Brooke Summers, Froggy 98 (KFGE-FM) Afternoons has been named one of three recipients of the Rusty Walker Scholarship for CRS 2023, taking place March 13-15 in Nashville. Only three recipients are selected nationally each year, and applicants must be a full-time radio station employee and first time Country Radio Seminar attendee.
Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is a three-day educational event gathering key business leaders in various radio and music industry fields, featuring presentations on best business practices, emerging technology, personal career development, and new music showcases. The scholarship is named after Rusty Walker, an iconic programmer, consultant, and esteemed Country Radio Hall of Fame inductee who passed suddenly in 2012. Walker was known for mentoring many of the brightest minds and strongest leaders in country music, and as such this scholarship encourages younger broadcast professionals to learn, excel and lead.
