KLIN Takes Home Six Sevareids

The Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association (MBJA) awarded KLIN with six Sevareid Awards during the Midwest Journalism Conference this past weekend in Minneapolis.

KLIN won two first place awards in the medium market radio category (Morning Newscast, Evening Newscast) and four awards of merit for Sportscast/Program (KLIN Sportscast), Sports Reporting (Husker Hour: Nebraska Volleyball), Soft Feature (Grow Lincoln: Colby Coash), and Podcast (Tom’s Talk: Lincoln Bike Kitchen).

The Sevareid Awards are named for Eric Sevareid, a North Dakota-born and University of Minnesota-educated journalist best known for his work as a correspondent for CBS Radio and Television. The awards are given to broadcast news operations and journalists working in small, medium and large markets in a six-state region on radio, television and online.
